Grilled Peaches

Oh my goodness- it's Palisade Peach season out here in Colorado, and it has me dreaming about all the ways I can add them to our meals. I saw a Pintrest image of grilled peaches, and it made my water water. So sweet. So savory. A perfectly delectable dessert!

I picked up about a dozen from our local Farmer's Market in Evergreen, Colorado. They are so ripe and pretty!

Grilling them is ridiculously easy. I chopped them in half, coated with a thin coat of olive oil and sprinkled on some sea salt.

Earlier that evening, we made jalapeno poppers on the grill, and still had some bacon grease left in the cast iron skillet. We plopped the peaches down in that, because- why not?!?

James grilled them up just for a few minutes, and then he chopped into smaller bites.

I layered on top of vanilla ice cream, and drizzled honey over top. Man oh man! Deeeeelicious!

(Random- but my good buddy, Brent Taylor, is a professional food photographer with OMS Photo. I bet he's cringing when he sees my pics. Oh well. lol )
